Ginny Lane

Ginny has been painting most of her life, juggling her desire to paint and having a career in nursing, working mostly in the critical care setting.  Since retiring  from nursing in 2006, she has made art a full time career. She is also a gallery owner and an art teacher.  She spends her summers on Mount Desert Island, Maine and draws inspiration from the many magnificent ocean views, sunsets, sailboats and of course what Maine is known for, lobsters! There is painting around every corner in Maine. She likes to capture the mood, energy and light in a painting. This is best done by painting plein air.” Painting outside makes one paint quickly and capture the moment most honestly”.
